Red Fox Meadows

Red Fox Meadows Natural Area, Fort Collins, CO. As part of my continuing Natural Area project, I stopped in to Red Fox Meadows Natural Area this afternoon between rain showers. It is located in central Fort Collins and it was extensively renovated after a flood to be a water retention area for the city's flood control program. I was only there about five minutes before I spotted the red fox. (No pictures of him, though.) This may be my new favorite natural area. I've never been here before, but it was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of walking trails throughout.
