Mallards Nest

Mallards Nest Natural Area, Fort Collins, CO. Mallards Nest Natural Area, along Spring Creek and the bike path, in the heart of Fort Collins, is probably the smallest of our Natural Areas. It is also managed as a flood control wetland for the city. It is the only Natural Area I have visited so far that didn't turn up a deer. Plenty of mallards, though, in the pond at nearby Spring Creek Park.
