Springer

Springer Natural Area is a small area just west of Kingfisher Point Natural Area and east of Lemay Avenue, along the Poudre River. The Poudre River bike trail passes through the center of it. There is a great deal of deadfall and undergrowth between the river and the bike trail, and the river itself has a sort of industrial feel along this section. This is probably because of the many businesses along its northern bank. Towering cottonwoods line the bike trail. On the day I visited, the snow storm was just ending and the sun was peeking out.
