Gustav Swanson

Gustav Swanson Natural Area is a small natural area just north of Old Town in Fort Collins. The new kayaking water park is being built on the Poudre River on the area's western edge, near College Avenue. A bike trail wanders through the area, and in the summer and fall it is a favorite place for photographers to take pictures. On a cold winter day when I visited, a solitary and incredibly enthusiastic dog froliced in the river.
